This course will work somewhat with 8 but I do recommend you have 9. If you have Anime Studio Pro 9, you should be set. But overall, this should be a very universal course. And those are just some very basic hurdles you'll have to overcome if you are using a different operating system. For instance Control should be substituted with Command on the Mac. Now if you're on a Mac, everything I'm showing you will be exactly the same except for those shortcut keys, they're maybe some differences. So at times I will be using shortcut keys and I may say please hold down the Control key and hit C for Copy. And I will be teaching this series using a Windows 7 environment. You'll know how to draw the characters, you'll know to how set up the scenes, you'll know how to map out the bones and all that stuff. I'm hoping that by the time you are done with this series you'll have a strong foundation in creating cartoons and Anime Studio. Create your own unique twist on it and then finish the story in your own way. But ultimately I want this to be your story and I want you to be able to take the two characters that we'll be animating and expand upon it. And I'll give you tips on how to design your characters, your scenes, how to animate things out and so on. I believe that by giving you the basic building blocks, you'll get the foundation you need to use Anime Studio. And the reason why I'm doing this because I want you to create an ending for this cartoon. From here we will from start to finish build a cartoon that will be animated out within three scenes and that will actually end in a cliffhanger. Once we get past those initial beginning stages we'll move into the actual cartoon creation process. In fact it's just as important as the actual animation process. You will also learn how to script, outline and storyboard a cartoon which is very important when starting a production. So that way you have a clear grasp on how to use the software before we dive into the more advanced techniques. So what will be learning in this series? Well first we will outline all of the major tools and features in Anime Studio. My name is Chad Troftgruben and I would like to welcome to you to my Anime Studio Pro 9 tutorial series.
